FILM MAKING

The 6 day Film making summer internship program, hosted for the first time ever at Rajkot by Rosary School is a one of it's kind. 

​

Students from Grade 9 - Grade 12 get to work with a professional filmmaker and make their own films, which they will showcase at Rajkot's Film festival on the 14th of April 2024. 

​

Future Ready skills they will pick up: Writing, Editing, Set design, Visual Spatial intelligence ( camera angles ), Lighting, Acting, Project management, Communication, Leadership, Teamwork, Complex problem solving, Creativity, and Resourcefulness. 

Timings: 9 am to 3 pm IST

 

Day 1: 8th April 2024 -  Introduction to Film making, Basics, Dividing them into teams and scripting

Day 2: 9th April 2024 - Script refining and Casting

Day 3: 10th April 2024 - Set design, Angles and Cinematography

Day 4:11th April 2024 -  Recee shoots with technical guidance from the Mentor

Day 5: 12th April 2024 - Film shoots with the hand held cameras/phones

Day 6: 13th April 2024 - Editing

14th April 2024 at 11 am - Film Festival Open to Children, Parents, Family Members, Educators, Other schools, Media etc

What are the dates of the Summer Internship?
8th April to 14th April 2024. 14th April is the Film festival. 
 
Do I need an expensive DSLR camera for this?
No. A good phone camera will do. 

How many students will be there for the Filmmaking internship?
A maximum of 40 students. We have limited seats only!

Who is the Mentor?
The Mentor is an Expert in film making. He has over 10+ years of experience and is Bangalore Based. 

Are the sessions Theoretical or Practical?
All days of the internship program are practical upto 90%. The 10% theory is only to lay context to the 90% of the hands-on work you will do. 

I have never done an internship before, can I still do this? What are the requirements?
The only requirement is for you to be interested to learn and grow in the field of your choice. The summer internship program has been structured with the Mentor to help you learn new skills, explore the career of your choice, learn team work and build something concrete at the end of it. The Mentor is there to guide you. 

What will get at the end of the Summer Internship?
On Successful completion of the 6 day Summer Internship Program you will get

1. A certificate of Internship Completion signed by the Industry Mentor
2. A completed successful project ( Film ) that you would have worked on throughout the 6 days
3. Clarity on what your strengths are
4. Skills like team work, creativity, confidence, Leadership etc
5. New friend and a community of like minded People
6. Access to India's Teen Internship Community ( online )

What is the age group for the internship?
Age Group 14-18 years.
